Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting Operations in the San Francisco Bay Area for a hybrid role. You will own the monthly close end-to-end, lead a small high-performing team, and modernize core accounting processes across a multi-entity environment.

This role combines technical US GAAP execution with hands-on tooling and AI-enabled workflows to streamline closing and reporting. You will report to the Head of Technical Accounting and manage a Senior Accountant and a Staff

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with close ownership
• Experience in a high-growth, multi-entity company
• People-management experience
• Strong US GAAP foundation incl. ASC 842 lease accounting
• Hands-on NetSuite and modern close platforms
• Track record in automation and AI-enabled workflows
• Strong audit support and cross-functional partnering
• CPA preferred or active/inactive

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Accounting Operations team, coaching Senior/Staff accountants
• Own the monthly close end-to-end and manage close calendars and dependencies
• Drive acquisition integrations, ERP migrations, and chart of accounts mapping
• Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, allocations, intercompany work
• Lead automation initiatives across cash matching, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Support audit readiness and auditor requests, acting as a primary partner
• Strengthen process documentation and reduce key-person dependencies
• Collaborate with Finance functions to align close, audit, and improvement workstreams
