Job summary

Jobot seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the transition from outsourced to in-house accounting, building internal controls and a scalable close process. This hybrid role in the San Carlos area offers responsibility for books, cash flows, and vendor relationships.

You will implement Campfire as our system of record, manage revenue recognition for municipal contracts, and partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations to optimize unit economics.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience transitioning outsourced to in-house accounting.
• ERP/accounting system implementation experience.
• Full-cycle month-end close ownership.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own transition from outsourced to in-house accounting.
• Run month-end and year-end close.
• Lead Campfire implementation as accounting system of record.
• Manage revenue recognition for municipal contracts.
• Own AP, AR, and payroll processing.
• Prepare financial statements for leadership and boards.
• Build internal controls and audit-ready workpapers.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Operations to track unit economics.
• Manage sales/use tax and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
