Job summary

ECSI in Eagan, MN seeks a Lead Estimator to lead the Centralized Estimating Department, managing staff and bid opportunities from schematic through detailed documents. You will lead review meetings, coordinate with Business Development, and drive accurate, timely estimates while maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities include budgeting from concepts, developing bid strategies, and training staff to ensure high-quality estimates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two-year degree in Electrical Construction/Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• 10+ years in commercial construction estimating is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with track record of organizational contributions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the estimating staff and coordinate with the Internal Business Development Manager.
• Develop bid strategies and scheduling for estimates across projects.
• Create/verify budgets from sketches and narratives with justifications.
• Oversee bid reviews and ensure accuracy of all supporting documents.
• Develop scopes of work and bid leveling documents for third-party quotes.
• Maintain QC documents and organize the estimating database.
