Job summary

The Electricians in Centennial, CO is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator who will shape our growing preconstruction practice. You will independently manage complex electrical estimates from opportunity review through proposal submission and turnover to operations, influencing project pursuit and approach.

We value strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with general contractors, vendors, and field leadership.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of electrical estimating experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents.
• Experience with Accubid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, or comparable estimating software.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Clear, confident communication with general contractors, vendors, project managers, and field leadership.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple active bids and firm deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review invitations to bid and help identify projects that align with our capabilities, resources, and financial goals.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and bid requirements.
• Prepare complete estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and related project costs.
• Perform accurate takeoffs for commercial construction, tenant improvements, remodels, design build work, and specialty projects.
• Solicit, compare, and level vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop inclusions, exclusions, qualifications, clarifications, and value engineering options.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, scheduling risks, and potential cost exposure.
• Prepare professional proposals and participate in strategy meetings, site walks, scope reviews, and post bid discussions.
• Coordinate complete and organized turnover packages for project management and operations.
• Maintain accurate pricing, labor assumptions, estimating records, and historical cost information.
• Help improve the systems, standards, and processes used by our estimating department.
