PGIM, the global asset management business of Prudential Financial, seeks a Senior Investment Associate for its Asset Based Finance (ABF) investment team in Newark, NJ. The role supports origination, underwriting, structuring, execution, and portfolio management of private credit investments.

This hybrid position involves close collaboration with senior investors, rigorous credit analysis, and building financial models to inform investment decisions across the life cycle of complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Strong credit underwriting skills with hands-on experience analyzing corporate borrowers or asset-backed portfolios.
• Experience building/interpreting financial models, cash flow analyses, and stress scenarios.
• Ability to evaluate complex deal structures and coordinate execution across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed credit analysis of borrowers, collateral pools, transaction structures, and counterparties.
• Build/maintain financial models, cash flow analyses, stress scenarios, and sensitivity analyses.
• Coordinate execution workstreams across internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentation decks for internal approval processes.
• Present analyses and recommendations to investment committees and senior management.
