Job summary

Weris, Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking an experienced Senior Program Control Analyst to support the financial and operational management of our government program portfolio in a hands-on role.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in government contracting, strong budgeting/forecasting skills, and the ability to work across Program Management, Finance, Contracts, and HR to provide timely, accurate information for decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Project Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in government contracting.
• PMP or other relevant certification preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple government contracts, projects, or task orders.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, funding, ETC/EAC, burn rates, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with IDIQ/task-order environments and different contract types (FFP, T&M, cost-reimbursement).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information to Program Managers and senior management.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Support financial and operational controls across government contracts and task orders.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Monitor expenditures, funding, burn rates, and financial performance.
• Prepare ETC and EAC analyses.
• Monitor contract funding, periods of performance, labor categories, and key requirements.
• Support Program Managers in understanding financial status and issues.
• Analyze budget-to-actual performance and investigate variances.
• Support staffing and labor planning; subcontractor financial monitoring.
• Assist with invoice review and reconciliation with Finance/Accounting.
• Maintain program-control data and management reports.
• Develop standardized program-control processes and reporting.
• Provide timely program-level and portfolio-level information to management.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Finance, Contracts, HR, and leadership.
