Clear Creek County seeks a Senior Accountant to manage professional accounting, financial reporting, grant accounting, and payroll under the Finance Director. Responsibilities include overseeing the General Ledger, month-end close, and audits, with compliance to GAAP and grant rules.

The role supports annual audits, prepares ACFR, and serves as a technical resource for government accounting, payroll, and grant matters. Hybrid work schedule in Colorado.

Qualifications

• CPA license by Colorado Board of Accountancy, or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of professional accounting experience, or an Associate's with 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee General Ledger, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Reconcile accounts for funds and assist annual audits and ACFR preparation.
• Manage grant accounting and payroll compliance.
