Job summary

Clear Creek County is seeking a Senior Accountant to perform professional accounting, financial reporting, grant accounting, and payroll functions under limited supervision. You will oversee the General Ledger, conduct month-end close, and support the annual audit and single audit in a government setting.

The role emphasizes GAAP/GASB expertise, grant compliance, and payroll regulations, with a hybrid work schedule and opportunities to serve staff and the public.

Qualifications

• CPA licensure by the Colorado Board of Accountancy or equivalent education/experience.
• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 3 years professional accounting experience.
• Experience with GAAP and GASB; government fund accounting knowledge.
• Familiarity with federal grant compliance and payroll reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports reflecting county finances.
• Oversee the General Ledger, journal entries, account analysis, and month-end close.
• Manage grant accounting from award through closeout, including SEFA reporting.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state payroll regulations.
