Job summary

Celnor Group seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Norfolk, VA, offering a mix of onsite and office work. This full-time role requires PE credentials and ~7+ years in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing, leading projects and client relations.

You will direct subsurface programs, perform advanced analyses, and mentor staff while ensuring quality and safety in all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• PE license with Virginia licensure preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain Virginia PE licensure through reciprocity.
• Seven+ years of geotechnical consulting or materials testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple geotechnical and construction materials projects from proposal to delivery.
• Direct subsurface exploration programmes and oversee testing activities.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, calculations and recommendations.
• Act as principal technical contact for clients and design teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality and compliance.
