Hippo Insurance is seeking an experienced Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster (Commercial Lines) to manage a diverse caseload across multiple states with a hybrid work model in Austin/Dallas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years general liability/commercial claims experience.
• Active multi-state adjuster licenses; reciprocal/home-state licensing preferred.
• Strong understanding of liability law across jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to manage complex or litigated claims.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Investigate and resolve general liability claims across multiple jurisdictions.
• Perform coverage analysis per policy terms and exclusions.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, insureds; gather statements.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and defense attorneys.
• Maintain case reserves per guidelines and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across states.
• Manage files from notice of loss to resolution.
• Document updates in claims management system.
• Stay current on state regs and industry trends.
• Provide empathetic customer service throughout claim life.
