Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Finance Analyst in McKinney, TX, to partner with Operations and Finance teams on budget analysis, forecasting, and CER pool management. The hybrid role offers exposure to multiple cost elements and ongoing compliance activities.

You will build the annual operating plan, monitor indirect expenses, and provide monthly variance and risk/opportunity reviews. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to meet financial commitments.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with consolidating and analyzing large financial data sets to ensure financial forecasts are accurate.
• Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, or similar systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Monthly reporting and variance analysis of actual expenses vs plan.
• Monthly forecasting and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Analysis of element of cost forecasts for labor, material, and other cost elements.
• Planning and establishment of time phased indirect expense and headcount plans.
• Build organizations' annual operating plan (AOP). Ensure that the budget systems are loaded to approved values by the functional partners.
• CER pool factors - development, maintenance, and compliance; requires routine interaction with key stakeholders to revisit causal beneficial relationships, ensure compliance, and update factors as necessary.
• Review for compliant labor and pool charges.
