Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Finance Analyst to join the OSCQ Finance team. The role partners with Operations on budget, forecasting, and compliance for indirect expenses and CER pools, offering broad exposure across business segments and key stakeholders in Finance and Operations.

The position emphasizes financial planning, variance analysis, and timely reporting, with opportunities to influence operating plans and cost control strategies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with consolidating and analyzing large financial data sets to ensure forecasts are accurate.
• Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, or similar systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Monthly reporting and variance analysis of actual expenses vs plan.
• Monthly forecasting and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Analysis of element of cost forecasts for labor, material, and other cost elements.
• Planning and establishment of time phased indirect expense and headcount plans.
• Build the organization’s annual operating plan (AOP) and ensure budget systems are loaded to approved values.
• CER pool factors – development, maintenance, and compliance; interact with stakeholders to revisit relationships and update factors.
• Review for compliant labor and pool charges.
• Prepare appropriate JVs and IOTs as required.
