Job summary

Octagon, a global leader in sports, entertainment and experiential marketing, is seeking an accomplished events producer to plan and execute experiential, hospitality-driven programs. The role blends strategy and hands-on execution across onsite and virtual events with an emphasis on guest journeys.

The position anchors budget management, cross-team coordination, and senior stakeholder engagement, while guiding junior teammates and delivering high-impact experiences for partners and fans.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of event, brand marketing, experiential, and/or hospitality experience.
• Previous experience in event management with ownership/lead responsibilities over complex programs.
• Deep hospitality background and guest journey expertise.
• Excellent project management skills with accountability and operational excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proven success building strong client relationships.
• Budget management and/or reconciliation experience.
• Desire to supervise, manage, and mentor junior employees.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Can-do attitude and desire to succeed.
• Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel domestically and work weekends/holidays; 30–45% travel anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Lead through all aspects of event and hospitality programming; from brainstorm to execution (on-site and virtual) and wrap-up.
• Oversee intricate programs and support clear ownership across workstreams.
• Be the day-to-day client liaison across multiple programs with proactive follow-through.
• Develop tailored experiential and hospitality event strategic plans grounded in the guest journey.
• Manage numerous projects simultaneously, including large-scale experiences and smaller events.
• Oversee materials related to events, including digital programs, invitations, and premiums.
• Foster relationships with internal/external partners, vendors, and hospitality venues.
• Spearhead program budgets, monitor financials, ensure budgets are managed accurately in partnership with the team.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and ensure consistent delivery of recaps, deadlines, and communications.
