Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC in Florham Park, NJ is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Specialist to provide regulatory compliance oversight for our operations, including treatment and processing facilities. You will lead audits, manage emissions data, and support permitting while collaborating with facility personnel and corporate teams.

The role emphasizes independent problem solving, mentorship of staff, and data-driven environmental performance across regions.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related science; 5–8 years progressive professional experience.
Experience with air emissions calculations, NSR, permitting, air pollution control, stormwater, solid and hazardous waste management.
Ability to work independently and as an integral team member.
Advanced data analysis skills.
Familiarity with AI tools.

Responsibilities

Manage emissions and environmental performance databases used for permitting, data analysis, reporting and benchmarking.
Lead environmental audit teams, coordinate field audits, communicate findings and track corrective actions to closure.
Support permitting team to obtain community support and regulatory approvals for growth initiatives.
Serve as a resource to facility environmental staff for compliance and regulatory analysis.
Track and report key environmental compliance risks and liabilities.
Work with operations and engineering to develop and implement environmental training.
Develop tools, procedures, and standard work for compliance programs.
