Job summary
Piper Companies seeks a Senior Business Systems & Software Engineer to join an innovative biotechnology/agriculture organization in a hybrid role with regular onsite collaboration in Durham, NC. You will partner with business leaders to develop and improve software, business applications, and enterprise systems supporting commercial and operational teams.
The role emphasizes full-stack development, ERP/CRM/SaaS customization, and integrations to streamline data flow and processes.
Qualifications
- 4+ years software/systems engineering experience.
- Experience designing and delivering full-stack solutions from requirements to deployment.
- Hands-on ERP/CRM/SaaS platform experience (NetSuite, Salesforce, Dynamics, Oracle, SAP) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into technology solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications (backend, APIs, UI).
- Configure and support ERP/CRM/SaaS platforms.
- Build integrations between enterprise systems to improve data flow.
- Evaluate options and recommend custom vs. off-the-shelf solutions.
- Balance priorities with stakeholders and implement practical solutions.
- Communicate designs to technical and business audiences.
- Contribute to software quality via testing and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and performance.
