Job summary
Dominion Energy is seeking an Associate/Engineer/Senior Engineer for Electric Transmission Reliability in a hybrid work arrangement in Virginia. You will perform engineering analyses, support designation disciplines, and contribute to major projects with independent judgment and team leadership as needed.
The role requires a 4-year Engineering degree and 2+ years for Engineer or 5-6+ years for Senior Engineer, plus knowledge of AC fundamentals, relay protection, data analysis, and programming
Qualifications
- Understanding of AC fundamentals, including three-phase power systems.
- Understanding of transmission and distribution relay protection.
- Strong data management and analysis abilities including large data extraction and querying.
- Strong Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and SQL Server abilities.
- Programming skills for automation of system studies (e.g., Python, .NET, C#).
Responsibilities
- Develop programs to enhance the reliability performance of the Electric Transmission Network.
- Coordinate with and provide technical assistance to various engineering and field teams.
- Manage data submittals for regulatory requirements and industry benchmarking.
- Assist and participate in equipment failure root cause analyses.
- Participate in company teams and industry-level organizations to enhance reliability.
- Participate in trade and industry organizations and benchmarking activities.
