Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a Senior Director of Classroom, Conference Room, and Shared Space Support to lead AV/IT across multiple campuses, overseeing hundreds of spaces and the full lifecycle of classroom technology.

You will shape strategy, manage a diverse team, and ensure reliable, innovative solutions that support teaching, learning, and collaboration in line with the university's Jesuit mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, communications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive AV/IT support experience, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience with AV/IT systems design, installation, and lifecycle management, plus control systems, video conferencing, lecture capture, and digital signage.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a strategic vision and technology roadmap for classroom, conference room, and shared space AV/IT systems.
• Leads and manages a team of AV engineers, technicians, and support specialists.
• Oversees design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new and upgraded AV/IT systems for capital projects.
• Establishes SLAs, procedures, and best practices to ensure high-quality support and uptime.
• Manages departmental budget including OPEX, CAPEX, and vendor contracts.
• Collaborates with faculty and departments to align technology with pedagogical and business needs.
• Provides high-level technical support and event production for major university events and meetings.
