Job summary

Georgetown University, based in Washington, D.C., seeks a Director of AV Support to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of AV across Hilltop and Capitol Campuses. You will manage engineers and technicians, set a strategic plan, and ensure reliable AV for classrooms, meetings, and events.

You will drive leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver state-of-the-art AV resources in a blended work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in audio-visual technology, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of AV engineers and technicians.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for AV technology and services across the Hilltop and Capitol Campuses.
• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of AV systems in classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
• Manage the departmental budget and resources for AV engineering services.
• Ensure a high level of service and support for all AV-equipped spaces.
• Collaborate with University stakeholders to identify and meet AV needs.
• Collaborate with Facilities Project Management on construction-related projects to ensure AV requirements are met.
• Stay current with emerging AV technologies and recommend adoption.
