Job summary

Reuters is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in a hybrid role covering Frisco, Texas, and Toronto, Canada. You will architect and build advanced data pipelines and dashboards using DBT, Snowflake, SQL, Python, Claude.AI, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to define reporting needs, implement AI-enhanced analytics, and mentor teams while driving governance and best practices across data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics.
• Master’s degree is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, design, and maintenance of complex data pipelines, frameworks and dashboards using DBT, SQL, Python, Claude.AI, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Partner strategically with senior stakeholders to define reporting needs and deliver high-impact insights.
• Champion and implement AI/ML techniques to innovate reporting and provide predictive insights.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends informing strategic decisions.
• Establish data governance and mentor team on standards.

Education
