Texas Municipal Retirement System is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Austin to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and BI solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. You will lead data governance, model lifecycle, and integration of AI/ML capabilities while partnering with stakeholders and executives.

The role requires advanced SQL, Python, and experience with Azure/AWS, Synapse, and Power BI, plus an emphasis on data quality, security, and scalable architecture.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience with Advanced SQL (Oracle PL/SQL and T-SQL) and Python for data engineering, transformation, and analysis.
• Cloud data platforms and services (Azure and AWS), including storage, compute, and managed data services.
• ETL and ELT pipeline design, orchestration, and scheduling.
• Data warehouse, lakehouse, and dimensional modeling; BI and reporting platforms (Power BI or equivalent).
• Data governance practice: classification, lineage, retention, and access control.

• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and BI solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Architect, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions.
• Develop and tune complex queries and transformations to support ETL/ELT.
