Entergy is seeking a Senior Counsel or Assistant General Counsel (EPC) in New Orleans, LA, to lead legal support for engineering, procurement, and construction contracts across nuclear, fossil, solar, and energy storage projects. The role involves negotiating EPC agreements, managing disputes, and advising on risk with a strong emphasis on capital construction.

The selected candidate will work in a hybrid environment, supporting storm/restoration efforts and collaborating with senior leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an attorney with commercial transactional experience focusing on EPC and commercial construction contracts.
• 12+ years for Assistant General Counsel position with EPC and construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage legal support for EPC contracts and related capital project agreements for energy assets in a multi-state service area.
• Advise on contractor procurement, RFPs, bid evaluation, and contract administration.
• Manage construction claims, change orders, disputes, and coordination of litigation/arbitration as needed.
• Draft and negotiate EPC agreements, engineering services agreements, procurement/supply agreements, and master service agreements.
• Advise senior attorneys and management on EPC and construction risk matters.
• Provide legal support for storms, outages, and other emergencies; other related transactional work as assigned.
