Job summary

Acosta Group is seeking a Category Analyst/Manager to support category management analytics. The role requires evaluating item performance, assortment planning, and store clustering using POS and Circana data, with strong communication to influence actions and drive client results.

The candidate will collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams, build category presentations, and stay aligned with client KPIs and timelines. A degree and 2+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of related experience in analytics or category management.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, VB/macros and data tools.
• Experience with syndicated data and space management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical analyses, insights, and recommendations for category management projects using retailer POS and Circana/IRI data.
• Develop category presentations incorporating syndicated data to address business issues.
• Collaborate with CPG Category Management and Space Technology teams to ensure high-quality results.
• Stay informed on client KPIs, strategies, and innovation; translate into actionable deliverables.
• Leverage client relationships to understand deliverables and project timelines; maintain stakeholder alignment.
• Category Analyst/Manager Certification is a plus.
