Job summary

Acosta is seeking a Category Analyst/Manager to join a hybrid team, performing high-quality analysis and synthesis of multi-source data to evaluate item performance, assortment planning, and store clustering through a modular process. You will influence actions and collaborate with sales and client teams.

The role emphasizes analytical analysis, insights, and storytelling to drive category initiatives and partner with CPG and Space Technology teams for quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or related work experience may be substituted for education.
• 2+ years related experience required.
• Proficiency with Windows suite including Excel, PowerPoint, VB, and macros.
• Experience with syndicated data and/or space management tools.
• Ability to clearly communicate relevant information and to diagnose situations to identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical analysis, insights, and recommendations for category management projects using retailer POS and Circana (IRI) data sources and reporting tools.
• System tools required: Retailer POS, Circana (IRI)/NielsenIQ.
• Develop category presentations incorporating syndicated data and other sources to address business issues.
• Collaborate with CPG Category Management and Space Technology teams to ensure quality results.
• Keep abreast of client KPIs, strategies, innovation, and timelines; leverage client relationships to deliver insights.
• Certification in Category Analyst/Manager is a plus.
