Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Automotive / Industrial Facilities Design team. You will lead planning, design, and delivery of complex capital programs for automotive OEMs, energy manufacturers, and more, partnering with an integrated team to deliver high-performance manufacturing and battery facilities across North America.

With 10+ years in design and 5+ years as a project manager, you will guide multi-discipline teams, manage budgets and schedules, and strengthen client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or 8+ years related experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 10+ years in the design industry; 5+ years as a project manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams delivering automotive manufacturing, assembly, battery, testing, logistics, and industrial facility projects.
• Serve as primary client interface for automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, battery producers, and Tier 1 suppliers.
• Manage facility expansion, modernization, brownfield renovation, and greenfield development.
• Collaborate with clients to understand production goals and future capacity needs.
• Coordinate facility design efforts involving production support systems, utilities, automation, material handling, warehouses, labs, and admin spaces.
• Support strategic planning for capital investment programs in vehicle production, electrification initiatives, battery manufacturing, and advanced industrial processes.
• Lead project teams through scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and execution.
• Support business development in the automotive, mobility, EV, battery, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
