Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead automotive and industrial facility design projects across North America. You will manage planning, design, and delivery of complex capital projects for OEMs and energy manufacturers, guiding multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and technicians from early planning through commissioning.

The role emphasizes leadership, client relations, and strategic planning, with opportunities to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering discipline, construction management, or architecture, or 8+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years in the design industry, with 5+ years as a Project Manager.
• Experience managing major capital industrial projects in an engineering or architectural setting.
• Strong contract management, pre-design, pre-construction, and construction administration knowledge.
• Willingness to travel to project locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams delivering automotive manufacturing, assembly, battery, testing, logistics, and industrial facilities.
• Serve as the primary client interface for automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, battery producers, and Tier 1 suppliers.
• Manage expansion, modernization, brownfield, and greenfield projects across all delivery phases.
• Collaborate with clients to align production goals, constraints, and capacity needs.
• Coordinate design across production support systems, utilities, automation, and warehousing spaces.
• Support capital investment planning for vehicle production, electrification, and advanced manufacturing.
