Connect Search LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity in the medical equipment industry, based in Northwest Houston. The role focuses on month-end close, payroll and commission accounting, lease accounting, accruals, and internal reporting.

The ideal candidate works hands-on, independently manages responsibilities, and contributes within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end close processes and general ledger activity.
• Hands-on journal entry recording and accrual accounting.
• Payroll-related accounting and commission accruals experience beneficial.
• Lease accounting and related financial reporting know-how.
• Strong analytical skills for variance analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned areas of the month-end close, including journal entries and accruals.
• Handle payroll-related accounting and commission accruals.
• Coordinate with payroll for biweekly commission payments.
• Perform lease accounting activities and maintain supporting records.
• Prepare accounts payable accruals for post-period invoices.
• Produce internal financial reports and explain variances.
