Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Sr. Accountant for a contract role in Saint Paul, MN, with hybrid work options. You will maintain the general ledger, prepare analyses and reporting packages, and support audits while ensuring accuracy and internal controls.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and streamline processes. A Bachelor's degree and solid Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operational accounting experience.
• 1+ year at a senior level.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure integrity of financial records.
• Prepare analyses, reporting packages, and ad hoc reports for decision making.
• Assist with external/regulatory audits by coordinating requests and documentation.
• Monitor accounting/regulatory changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal departments to research issues and strengthen controls.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support special projects and additional accounting/finance duties.
