Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accountant to join a well-established organization in Olathe, KS. The role focuses on general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting support. Onsite with potential for hybrid flexibility after six months based on performance.

You will work with a collaborative accounting team to ensure accurate records, analyze variances, and support process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and prepaids.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Support financial reporting and management analysis.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
