Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team in a hybrid role reporting to the Controller. The role emphasizes month-end close, GAAP compliance, and accurate reporting across revenue, AR, cash, and other accounts, with involvement in budgets and audits.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–5 years’ progressive accounting experience, and CPA is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, mixed public and industry advantageous.
• CPA highly preferred and strong US GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, prepare and review closing entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee day-to-day transactions: revenue, AR, cash, prepaid, fixed assets, AP, payroll per US GAAP.
• Develop/process improvements to speed up close and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Contribute to annual budget development and analysis of financial statements.
• Assist with technical accounting issues and policy updates; support annual audit.
• Support special projects, system implementations or M&A as needed.
