Vaco by Highspring seeks a Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting to lead financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls. Hybrid/remote flexibility with in-office presence a few days per month, Atlanta-based.

You will drive reporting accuracy, coordinate audits, and mentor accounting staff, influencing standards and processes at the executive level. The ideal candidate has a CPA, 7–9+ years in accounting leadership, and strong GAAP knowledge, with Big 4 or national firm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA designation.
• 7–9+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong background in financial reporting and accounting research.
• Experience preparing audited financial statements and external audit coordination.
• Big 4 or national firm experience is highly valued.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead annual financial statements preparation and disclosures.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit.
• Direct month/quarter/year-end closes.
• Research accounting guidance and implement new standards.
• Oversee general ledger governance and reconciliations.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures, internal controls.
• Provide leadership and performance management for staff.
• Partner with finance and operations on reporting needs.
• Support system improvements and financial controls.
