Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a SEN Casework Officer on a 3‑month contract to oversee EHC needs assessments and annual reviews for children and young people with SEND. You will ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and related regulations, coordinating multi‑agency contributions and supporting families to access appropriate educational provision.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of SEND Code of Practice, SEND Regulations, and the Children and Families Act.
• Experience managing complex caseloads and working to statutory deadlines.
• Experience working with education, health, social care professionals, families, and other stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating multi-agency meetings or working with multi-agency panels.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people through EHC needs assessments and annual reviews.
• Coordinate statutory timescales and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Draft, review and amend EHCPs to reflect assessed needs and required provision.
• Prepare and present cases to decision-making panels and stakeholders.
