Job summary

SPS Commerce seeks a Manager II, Security Operations to lead the Cyber Engineering & Defense team. You will manage Cyber Defense engineers and analysts and own an 8-person L1/L2 SOC pod under a managed-services model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response.
• Experience maturing cyber capabilities and driving organizational transformation.
• Proven Sev1 incident command experience with cross-functional communications.
• Track record in end-to-end security programs with measurable risk reduction.
• Experience managing MSP/MSSP relationships and renewal economics.

Responsibilities

• Own SOC operational performance including alert triage metrics and time-to-containment.
• Serve as incident commander for Sev1 and escalated security incidents with executive communications.
• Own AI agents in the SOC, including thresholds, human-in-the-loop, and quality control.
• Manage the 8-person L1/L2 SOC pod and the MSP/contractor relationship.
• Translate strategy into a tactical SecOps roadmap and own the Jira project.
• Oversee core Cyber Defense tooling, SIEM content lifecycle, and NG-SIEM migration.
• Run a 24x7 on-call rotation across FTE and contractor coverage.
• Provide coaching and career development for Cyber Defense staff.
• Collaborate with ACE on agentic capability definition and delivery.
