Job summary

PAE in Seattle is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer for a hybrid office role to build a career in electrical system design for the built environment. Under mentorship you will transition from theory to practice, learning to design and model power distribution, lighting, and technology systems.

You will develop proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, read plans, support distribution, lighting, and technology teams, and perform load flow, short-circuit and arc-flash analyses while learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain
• Internship experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Team player with clear communication

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of electrical system design, modeling and documentation
• Develop proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools
• Grow in the ability to read plans
• Provide task-based support for engineering distribution, lighting, power, and technology systems
• Develop an understanding of specifications, building codes and electrical industry standards
• Model distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy using Easy Power
• Perform electrical load calculations
• Research codes and undertake code compliance analysis
• Perform other duties as assigned
