Job summary

PAE seeks an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our San Francisco office in a hybrid role. You will learn electrical system design for built environments, modeling power distribution, lighting, and technology systems under experienced mentors.

You’ll develop skills in Revit/AutoCAD, read plans, and perform load flow and arc flash analyses while supporting project teams and gaining exposure to codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain; internship experience preferred.
• Ability to develop an understanding of Revit/AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Easy Power is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of electrical system design, modeling and documentation.
• Develop proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools.
• Grow in the ability to read plans.
• Provide task-based support for engineering distribution, lighting, power, and technology systems.
• Develop an understanding of specifications, building codes and electrical industry standards.
• Complete assigned work with instruction from project team members.
• Model distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy using Easy Power.
• Perform electrical load calculations.
• Research codes and undertake code compliance analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned
