Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services seeks a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in La Plata, MD. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within an educational setting while collaborating with school staff and families.

You will provide evidence-based interventions, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings. Relevant MD licensure and CCC-SLP are required, with hybrid work options available in some assignments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• MD State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA (unless CF).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to culturally competent, client-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology interventions to improve articulation, fluency, language, and overall communication.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school-based teams to implement classroom strategies.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate parents and teachers on strategies to support classroom carryover.
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and billing documentation.
• Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
• Participate in IEP and school-based meetings and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and professional ethics.
