Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks a Salesforce Solution Architect to shape and support Salesforce solutions across its Technology Solutions Product Line.

You will work with technical teams, business partners, and end users to design, build, and communicate scalable Salesforce solutions that align with business goals and improve experiences for colleagues and customers. This hands-on role requires you to review specs, write business requirements, support testing, and help the team move work forward while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Salesforce experience across full lifecycle implementations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading Salesforce solution architecture and design.
• Minimum 1 year of customer-side Salesforce implementation experience.
• Experience designing large-scale Salesforce solutions (architecture, UX, integrations).
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholder abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce solution design across the product line with end-to-end architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to capture needs and outcomes.
• Co-lead discovery sessions to drive clear decisions and shared understanding.
• Translate business needs into user stories, options, fit-gap analyses, and designs.
• Create design docs, overviews, capability maps, architecture, integrations, and data flows.
• Provide LOE estimates and explain benefits, risks, feasibility and governance fit.
• Support design authority and architecture reviews with presentations.
• Contribute to capability and platform roadmaps with practical Salesforce opportunities.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly, visually and in writing.
• Build relationships and act as trusted advisor to business and technical teams.
• Coach multi-disciplinary Salesforce teams and support delivery activities when needed.
