Job summary

STARC Systems, Inc. in Brunswick, Maine, seeks a Safety Manager to lead enterprise-wide safety strategy, ensure a safe and compliant workplace, and partner with leaders across the organization to implement proactive programs.

The successful candidate will balance strategic planning with hands-on floor work, drive injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and a culture of safety, while collaborating with HR and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive EHS or safety leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to manage regulatory inspections.
• Experience conducting hazard assessments and incident investigations with data-driven improvements.
• Ability to design and deliver safety training programs for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve enterprise-wide safety management programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead safety strategy, establish KPIs, and drive a culture of accountability and ownership.
• Coordinate with Operations, HR, Engineering, and Facilities to integrate safety into planning and changes.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage safety training, meetings, and emergency response programs.
