Job summary
Divergent is seeking a Software Developer to join our Robotics & AI Software team, focusing on task and motion planning and computer vision in robotic systems. You will work with automation and software engineers to design, develop, and test software solutions that improve efficiency and reliability of robotic algorithms.
You will contribute to symbolic planning, robot kinematics, collision detection, and integration with other software products, while papers and open-source projects inform
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software development best practices to ensure high-quality code, efficient testing, and timely releases.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure software integrates with other products.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop software solutions for robot task and motion planning.
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms within our planning framework leveraging robotics principles.
- Assist in the integration and testing of computer vision software for robustness and performance.
- Document code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures to support knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated on advancements in robot planning algorithms and technologies and contribute ideas.
