Job summary

Divergent is building the next generation of automated systems, blending software and hardware in robotics to reach new levels of efficiency and reliability. This role focuses on developing algorithms for task and motion planning, integrating computer vision, and ensuring software quality across our robotics platform.

You will work with experienced engineers across the robotics and AI software team, collaborating to deliver robust solutions for production-ready robotic software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proficient in C++ and Python.
• Strong knowledge of data-structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Understanding of industrial robotics including manipulator kinematics, dynamics, trajectory generation, and communications protocols.
• Experience with open source robotic planning and manipulation packages such as MoveIt and ROS.
• Knowledge of unit-testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software development best practices for high-quality code, testing, and releases.
• Collaborate to ensure seamless integration with other software products.
• Contribute to robot task and motion planning algorithms in the planning framework.
• Design, implement, and optimize planning algorithms with robotics principles.
• Assist in integrating and testing computer vision components for robustness.
• Document code, algorithms, and user procedures to support knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on advancements and contribute new ideas.
