Job summary

myPlace Health in Compton, CA is seeking a qualified CDI Specialist to ensure accurate provider documentation across our participant population. This clinical role partners with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care teams to support compliant CMS-HCC capture within the PACE model.

Hybrid work arrangement with a base salary range of $71,700 to $105,000 plus bonus and benefits. Candidates must be licensed RN or NP in California and bring 3+ years of outpatient clinical experience and CDI

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN or NP license in California.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in outpatient/primary care.
• Strong ability to interpret and synthesize information across complex records.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM coding and CMS-HCC capture processes.
• Experience with CDI software platforms and analytics.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prospective, concurrent, and retrospective chart reviews to identify documentation gaps, unsupported diagnoses, HCC opportunities, and clinically present conditions.
• Formulate compliant verbal and written provider queries with clinical evidence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care teams to improve documentation quality.
• Track provider documentation patterns and review activity for audit readiness.
• Develop and deliver provider education and CDI resources.
