Job summary

myPlace Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to ensure accurate, complete, and clinically specific provider documentation across the participant population. This CDI role partners with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care teams to optimize CMS-HCC capture and sustainability of documentation improvement.

Base salary range: $71,700 to $105,000 per year. Benefits include annual bonus, medical/dental/vision coverage, generous PTO, 11 holidays plus floating holiday,

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN or NP license in the state of California.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in outpatient/ambulatory care.
• Foundational knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding principles and their relation to documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prospective, concurrent, and retrospective chart reviews to identify documentation gaps and opportunities.
• Formulate compliant queries presenting clinical evidence to support clarification.
• Partner with physicians and clinical teams to improve documentation quality and CMS-HCC capture.
• Track documentation patterns and outcomes using CDI tracking tools for audit readiness.
