The Office of the State Treasurer and Receiver General seeks a Benefits Calculation Analyst to counsel MSERS members and administer retirement benefit calculations.

You will review applications, determine creditable service and salaries, respond to inquiries, and apply plan rules, including changes to benefits and settlements. This is a full-time, hybrid position with two in-office days weekly and periodic in-person department meetings.

Formación

• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Excellent communication, inter-personal and organizational skills required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in Massachusetts public employee retirement benefits or similar field.
• Knowledge of retirement industry and plan rules under M.G.L. c.32.
• Ability to manage high-volume caseload and work to deadlines.
• Travel as required and proficient with MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Review benefit applications and process them to conclusion.
• Counsel MSERS members and provide educational support regarding benefits.
• Analyze data to determine creditable service and salaries.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries with professional service.
• Apply plan rules and changes to calculations and settlements.
• Assist with preparation of Board meeting materials.
