Job summary

Our client in Upington, Northern Cape is seeking a proactive Retail Operations Assistant to support daily store operations in a hybrid role blending on-site tasks with administration.

You'll assist with stock, merchandising, customer service, and store upkeep, while maintaining strong organizational skills and teamwork. Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus; matriculation or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy with MS Office.
• Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends.
• Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with stock receiving, unpacking, and organizing inventory.
• Supporting visual merchandising, setting up displays and maintaining presentation standards.
• Maintaining store cleanliness and organization for a welcoming environment.
• Assisting customers with inquiries and basic floor support.
• Participating in inventory counts and stocktaking.
• Processing administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and simple reports.
• Supporting store management and sales teams with operational duties.
• Ensuring compliance with policies and health and safety regulations in Upington.
• Contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
