Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Retail Operations Assistant to support store operations in Randburg, Gauteng. You will assist with inventory management, stock control, visual merchandising, and daily tasks to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

The role offers part-time hours with a competitive hourly wage and opportunities to grow within the retail sector, including exposure to store operations and customer service. Weekend shifts may be required to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or stock management role is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, based on store needs in Randburg.
• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking of merchandise.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and stock counts to ensure accuracy.
• Support visual merchandising efforts by arranging displays and maintaining store presentation standards.
• Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or low stock items to management.
• Assist with maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
• Process customer transactions and handle basic customer inquiries as needed.
• Support the sales team by ensuring products are readily available and well-presented.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to store operations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
