Job summary

Amalgamated Bank is seeking a Retail Banking Representative in New York, NY to deliver high-quality customer service in both teller and client-service roles, while presenting the bank’s products at the branch and at off-site events.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a minimum of two years teller experience or teller training, and the ability to cross-sell banking solutions to meet customer needs. Hybrid work is in effect for many positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years Teller experience required or successfully completing the teller training course in lieu of Teller experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers.
• Must be flexible to work and/or transfer throughout the network, on an as needed basis.
• Detailed knowledge of banking procedures, regulations and all Branch related functions and terminal systems.

Responsibilities

• Open and maintain a variety of accounts per bank policies.
• Proactively cross-sell Bank products based on customer needs.
• Open and maintain new and existing accounts.
• Promote Bank products at the branch and at off-site events.
• Participate in off-site sales calls and community activities.
• Resolve customer inquiries professionally and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Maintain records and balance daily transactions with accuracy.
• Assist with branch functions and reports as requested.
