Placements24 is seeking a senior Reservoir Engineer for our client’s Subsurface team in East London, Eastern Cape. You will build and maintain dynamic reservoir models, forecast production, and develop strategies to maximize asset value in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of reservoir engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel RE).
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models to predict future production performance.
• Analyze production data, well performance, and pressure transient tests to understand reservoir behavior.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for reservoir enhancement, including infill drilling, EOR projects, and production optimization.
• Perform volumetric and reserve calculations, contributing to financial reporting and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers to build integrated subsurface models.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and economic evaluations for management review.
• Stay updated on the latest reservoir engineering technologies and methodologies.
• Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
