Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder’s Institute for Behavioral Genetics seeks an experienced Research Administration Coordinator to support faculty, graduate students, and staff in advancing sponsored research.

This hybrid role covers workshop coordination, travel planning, director-level administrative support, equipment inventory, purchasing, and special projects, with growth opportunities in a four-person team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years in higher education administration or related field.
• Experience in workshops or event coordination is a plus.
• Ability to interpret policies and provide guidance to faculty and staff.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate registration and travel for workshops.
• Arrange travel reimbursements, hotel details, and event support.
• Support the Director with meetings and file organization.
• Coordinate laboratory operations, safety inspections, and equipment inventory.
• Purchase registrations, memberships, supplies, software, and other goods; manage expense reports.
• Assist with IBG events and special projects as needed.
