Renewable Careers Limited in Chicago, IL is seeking an engineer to join our growing project team. You will learn from experienced engineers, take real responsibility early, and support solar, wind and battery storage initiatives from planning through operations.

Your work will include design reviews, energy production estimates, interconnection coordination with PJM and MISO, and site evaluations. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and US work authorization are required; internship or project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering
• Interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition
• Strong analytical ability and comfort with data and spreadsheets
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Initiative, curiosity and ownership; quick learner
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Internship or project experience in energy is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects
• Prepare energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence
• Assist with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities (PJM, MISO)
• Review technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and vendors
• Support construction and commissioning with travel to project sites across the Midwest
• Analyze performance data from the operating fleet and recommend improvements
• Contribute to tools, templates and standards used by the engineering team
