Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to support our energy design team on challenging power generation projects. The role offers flexible remote options and work from multiple US Energy offices.

The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in structural engineering and hands-on experience with heavy industrial and power projects, including code compliance and 3D modeling. Relocation assistance is not offered, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant heavy industrial and/or power generation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design under the direct supervision of experienced and licensed professional engineers.
• Provide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from work scope development until the completion of construction.
• Evaluate and apply applicable building code requirements and design code requirements (e.g. IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).
• Travel to project site and meetings as needed.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving structural engineering problems including building 3D analytical structural models.
• Assist with productions of drawing and documents
• Develop technical specifications, plans, and details
