Job summary

AECOM recruits a project professional to manage the project lifecycle from design basis through deliverables, ensuring coordination between internal and external stakeholders across engineering, interconnection, utility markets and construction.

The ideal candidate leads matrixed design teams, oversees budgets and schedules, and guides engineers and consultants to meet client expectations. Relocation not guaranteed; remote option with travel to U.S. energy offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree and PM experience in complex engineering projects.
• Experience delivering projects involving power generation or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong leadership and communication across matrixed teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects as project/program manager.
• Own internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management.
• Facilitate planning and kickoff meetings to align stakeholders.
• Lead projects through feasibility, design, bid, construction, start-up and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate design reviews and equipment fabrication reviews at milestone design completions (30%, 60%, 100%).
• Work with global delivery teams to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and QMS requirements.
• Provide proposal support and capture leadership for business development.
• Identify opportunities, support go/no-go decisions, and help draft contracts and client presentations.
• Develop and manage client relationships and key accounts; travel to client/project sites as needed.
